WEDNESDAY NIGHT PROGRAM meets at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall.

To give one’s blood for another is the ultimate gift of life...be it for our earthly life...or our eternal one.  The Bible refers to this subject of ‘blood’ over 450 times...and yet, we find it difficult to discuss.  But as author Robert Coleman points out, “it is the scarlet thread that weaves the whole scope of revelation into one harmonious witness to the drama of redemption.”  Come to be fed in body and soul as Rev. Willis leads a discussion of “The New Covenant” in the blood of Jesus Christ, at the Wednesday Night Dinner Program during the month of March.  Dinner begins at 6:00, with child care provided.  Please call the church office (892-4821) for reservations.  In this season of Lent, let us walk together on the road to the Cross.

INVITE A GUEST:  Our Easter Cantata, “Wonderous Love,” will take place on Palm Sunday, March 28th followed by a covered dish luncheon.  Please mark your calendar and invite a guest to the worship service and lunch afterwards.  This is a special ministry of our choir directed by Elizabeth Tosterud to CPC, guests, and community to celebrate the beginning of Holy Week and the Passion of our Lord.  Note:  There will be no contemporary service on this date.

Important note:  Cross Country and the youth group, Rock On will worship with their families for this special service so they will not meet in the Education Building for this Sunday only.  The Nursery and First Look will be provided as usual.

CROSS COUNTRY: (K-5th GRADE)     THE WEB

We can all weave that web of lies that entraps so many of us - we want  our young ones to follow God’s plan for their lives and be honest.

Virtue:  Honesty - Choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do.

Memory Verse:   “The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who  are truthful.”  Prov. 12:22 NIV

Bible Story:    Backfire:  Haman’s plot to destroy the Jews - Esther

Bottom Line:  Lying to hurt someone else really hurts YOU.

NURSERY/FIRST LOOK:  (INFANT – 4 YR. OLDS)

Basic Truth:    Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Bible Words: “Love each other, as I have loved you.”  John 15:12

Bottom Line:  Jesus loves everyone.                                                                                    We will be passing the love this month with our heart pillow.  Our little ones will also be jumping in and out of the circle to cheer and jump because Jesus loves everyone.

After Church on Easter Sunday, April 4th, we will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Easter egg donations will be appreciated.  Please leave in the office on or before March 28th.
