ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Join us in the Fellowship Hall for a time of Bible Study, Coffee, and Fellowship. 

SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE STUDY: 

A 6 week series of “Fireproof” for the 9 AM Adult Sunday School class led by David Snow continues.  Topics include: He Said/She Said; He First Loved Us; Love For A Lifetime; Breaking Free; Forgiveness; and A Better Way of Loving. 

This same series will also be offered in July from 6:30 - 8 pm beginning Wednesday, July 29th.  Rev. Chan Willis will be leading the night series.  Join the discussion group of your choice and find practical insights for building a lifelong, red-hot marriage! Child care will be provided for the evening study if needed. 

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY:   The Wednesday Adult Bible study has ended for the

summer months and will resume in the fall.  Please watch for further details nearer to the fall.

THE DAILY BIBLE: Church members are encouraged to join in a year long study of the Bible made easier by the devotional format of The Daily Bible.  Rev. Willis will be preaching weekly based on the prior week's passages. Bibles are available in the Narthex.  A recommended donation of $17 will cover their cost but are free for any who are in need and want to participate.

Covington Presbyterian Church adopts “Cross Country” Children’s Sunday School Program

Covington Presbyterian Church offers a children’s program at 10:30 AM which is called “Cross Country.”  The program is designed for children between kindergarten and fifth grade and is built around three basic truths which are amplified through monthly themes and Bible Stories.  These three basic truths are: “I need to make the wise choice,” “I can trust in God no matter what,” and “I should treat others the way I want to be treated.”

The weekly program consists of three periods, each targeted to a particular type of learning and relational environment.  The first period, “PLUG IN,” introduces the weekly topic in a setting that gives the child individualized attention.  Second is the “POWER UP” period where the children are engaged in an exciting, innovating approach to worship not unlike the familiar Veggie Tales.  This portion includes music, prayer, singing and dancing.  Last is the “CATCH ON” phase designed to help children understand and apply the daily topic to their lives.

CHURCH NURSERY:  The nursery is available for children from birth to age 3 every Sunday from 9:00am until 11:30 am.  For other church events, child care is available by

reservation...call Mary Ruth Hastings at 871-9948 to make arrangements.
